Dr. Marie & The Colégas Group
Helping you reach your academic goals
Hi, I’m Dr. Marie
I LOVE school. I am a college professor, former college counselor, and public speaker. I formed the Colégas Group as a unique resource for students, academics, and other professionals to help them reach their academic goals. You can read more about my work, my credentials, and my interests on my personal website.
With my support team at the Colégas Group, I offer specialized coaching services, organizational consulting, workshops, professional development, and academic counseling. Whether you are exploring college, a new college student, or a working professional returning to school, I make it my mission to help you succeed in higher education.
What my Clients and Students Say:
Since attending the Vision Board workshop, I sent an email to my dissertation chair and told him that I wanted to set a date to defend. The next several weeks have certainly been hard, but I did it! Yesterday I successful defended and today I received my official notice that I have reached candidacy. I have continued to keep my Vision Board right above my computer screen, so that I can always see it and be guided by it. Before this I felt lost, but being in the workshop helped me rediscover my voice and anchor points. Again, thank you, the workshop literally changed my life!
- Natasha M.
Thank you for the wonderful vision board workshop! I really sat with the questions you shared with us to really think about what I am doing and what I really need to do to move forward. I am learning how to release the fear and not let it stop me from my dreams. Thank you so much for offering these much needed spaces!
- Liz V.
Thank you so much for such an inspiring workshop! I feel so much more focused now and much calmer about the path ahead of me. I actually went right out to the store after the workshop and bought myself some supplies! LOL. The workshop I did with you was VERY therapeutic.
- Safiyya H.
No this isn't some quick-sell seminar, but an interactive workshop teaching real life skills that will actually help me achieve my goals. This was the first time in a training seminar where I saw the speaker receive a standing ovation at the end. Wow! Just Wow!

Dr. Nubia-Feliciano is not just a teacher and a mentor, she is an inspiration. I say this with the utmost respect, but I want to be her! In between covering all the real-life skills, she includes personal experiences, thoughtful annecdotes, and so much positivity. I just loved it! Thank you so much for everything.

Dr. Marie is an amazing teacher. Before taking her class, I was completely lost and was planning to drop out of college ABD. Not anymore, I now know how to complete my thesis. I learned so much in this class that now I'm thinking that I will continue with post-grad research because there is so much more that I want to accomplish. I can't thank Dr. Marie enough for resurrecting my career.
- Melanie M.
These are important, fundamental skills every student should learn if they want to be successful in their academic career. I cannot tell you how many students I've had in my own classes who need to be sitting in my seat right now. Everyone from students to teachers to college professors should be taking this class. - Cheryl P.
I've been to so many of these, but this was the first class where I actually learned something useful, and I'm 45 years old! I loved the way she presented the subject matter as something to interact with, something to live through, and something to grow with now and into the future. This course taught me that my learning is a living thing that needs to be nurtured and given a chance to grow.
